Belgrade, 11 June 2025 - Due to the great interest, the deadline for companies to apply with their green projects for the Public Call for Scale up of Green Investment Projects has been extended until Wednesday, 25 June.
The call is open to green investment proposals from public and private companies
- that pilot and test innovative technologies and combine different sources of financing, such as own funds, funds from bank loans and grants from the project EU for Green Agenda in Serbia. The total value of these investments should be at least USD 500,000.
For these proposals, UNDP will provide technical support from experts for the development and preparation of bank loan applications, as well as financial support in the amount of 10-20% of the investment value (and not more than USD 200,000) in the form of a grant from the project EU for Green Agenda in Serbia.
Examples of successful green projects implemented with technical and financial support from UNDP can be found on the Green Transition of Serbia website.
- bankable investments that are eligible for commercial bank loans (this includes the installation of solar panels, solar power plants and projects for which commercial banks have a standard offer).
For this category of projects, UNDP offers support in preparing documents and communicating with banks to obtain the most favourable application conditions.
- that require detailed energy audits to apply for bank loans.
For this category of proposals, UNDP will provide free energy audits that cover all aspects of production, operation and maintenance of equipment, condition of all systems that consume energy and water, energy management, energy efficiency measures already implemented and their impact, as well as plans for reconstruction, improvements, expansions or changes to the production programme and the impact of these changes on energy efficiency.
This support is intended to enable companies to implement some of the proposed energy efficiency measures using their own funds and bank loans available for energy efficiency programmes. In some cases, these projects may also be eligible for co-financing through a grant from the project EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia.
All details on how to apply to the Public call can be found on the webpage Open calls.
This Call is part of the project EU for Green Agenda in Serbia, implemented by UNDP with technical and financial support from the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, in cooperation with Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with additional funding from the governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Serbia.
